What is the FNS Restaurant Meals Program?

FNS Restaurant Meals Program is a state-operated initiative that allows eligible Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients to use their benefits to purchase prepared meals at participating restaurants, including quick-service restaurants (QSRs). Restaurants participating in RMP are not responsible for determining eligibility; if a SNAP recipient does not qualify, their payment card will automatically be declined.

Program
Eligibility

MP allows SNAP recipients, such as the elderly, disabled, or homeless, to use benefits for prepared meals, providing greater food access.

Addressing
Challenges

The program aims to help those who may not have the means to properly store or prepare food, ensuring they can still access hot, nutritious meals.

Promoting
Nutritional Balance

By partnering with participating restaurants, RMP expands access to fresh and nutritionally balanced meals for eligible individuals and families.
